1887 Born in Pietrelcina (Benevento) Italy, May 25.
1903 To Morcone (Benevento) to become Capuchin novice.
1904 Takes his simple vows.
1907 Takes his solemn vows and begins studying theology at Serracapriola (Foggia).
1910 Ordained as a priest in the canonical chapel of Benevento and conducts his first Mass at Pietrelcina. First signs of Stigmata appear.
1911 Sent to Venafro, but almost always confined to bed due to illness. Extraordinary things begin to happen.
1915 Absent from convent due to illness, but retains Capuchin habit. Called up to the Army in November.
1916 At the convent of Sant Anna in Foggia
1918 Dispensed from Army on grounds of illness. Transverberation, August 5-7. Stigmatization, September 20.
1919 Undergoes medical examinations of his Stigmata by Dr. Luigi Romanelli and others.
