Novena of Masses to Saint Pio

Sign up to join us for our Novena of Masses to Saint Pio

We are excited to invite you to participate once again in this year’s annual Novena to Saint Pio in anticipation of his feast day!

This has been a year of great celebration for the National Centre for Padre Pio, as we’ve commemorated two important milestones related to both the history of Padre Pio as well as our Centre. 2024 marks the 25th anniversary year of both the Beatification of Padre Pio and the grand opening of the Our Lady of Grace Chapel and Padre Pio Spirituality Centre on our campus. We’ve had many wonderful events and prayer opportunities this year, and we expect our Novena of Masses to Saint Pio to be our best yet.

We are honored and overjoyed to share with you that for this special anniversary year, we will have four bishops participating in our Novena of Masses. Archbishop Joseph Kurtz, Archbishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky, will be the main celebrant to open the Novena on Saturday, September 14. On Sunday, September 15, Archbishop Timothy Broglio, Archbishop for the Military Services and President of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, will be the main celebrant for Day 2. Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Brooklyn, will be here to offer the 1:30 PM Mass on Saturday, September 21. And, we are also overjoyed that our own diocesan bishop, Bishop Alfred A. Schlert, will be the main celebrant on Thursday and Friday, September 19 and 20, as well as Monday, September 23, the Feast of Saint Pio.

To sign up to join us in this special prayer endeavor, fill out the form below. Beginning on the morning of Saturday, September 14, the first day of the Novena, you will receive an email reminder each day with the Mass time, prayers, and daily intention.

We will be celebrating this Novena in person at the Centre as well as via livestream from September 14 through 22, culminating in the Feast of Saint Pio on Monday, September 23. If you are unable to be with us in person for any portion of the event, you can watch and join in prayer with thousands of other Saint Pio devotees through our Facebook page and our YouTube Channel.

Even though we have designated general Mass intentions for each day of this Novena, we hope you will still send us your own personal prayer intentions when you sign up so that we may place them near the altar and remember them at each Novena Mass. Please sign up and send us your prayer intentions by September 1 so we will have time to collect them before the start of the Novena. We look forward to celebrating this joyous occasion with all of you.
